Very lively, forward fruit with ripe dark cherry, plum, and blackberry, softer herbal notes of thyme, black pepper, light touch of tar and vanilla as well as toasted spice. Bigger and fruitier on the palate but overall quite in balance for the style of wine and with a good kick of acidity to see it through to the finish....
