Ripe red cherry and strawberry with a hint of plum peel, fennel, thyme, anise seeds, and an underlying bed of toasted notes. Generally fresh for the vintage, but still holds a good deal of puckering tannin notes to it that remain to be seen if they will boost the length of the wine or cut it short as they're doing at the moment....
