Fine, plump berry fruit with some dark cherry and plum notes along with cocoa nib, minor vanilla sweetness and cloves. Punchy on the palate with a wealth of tannins that remain rather frontal at this point although there's still some fruit hanging around. Would like to see more evolution and integration given the age, but it's just not here....
