Dark cherry fruit with notes of dark plum, fig, toasted nutty aspects, very light vanilla and spice notes, bit of roasted anise seed, graphite, and black peppercorn. Runs a bit blocky on the palate with the tannins still quite upfront and unyielding and a shorter finish....
