Strawberry with a woody tinge to it, ripe berry aromas, cumin, smoked meat, sage. Quite massive on the palate, mix of red and dark fruit with high alcohol with a large dose of tannins, barrel work, astringent, but with a medium short and rather undefined finish. Definitely tasted a good deal hotter than the stated 15.1% ABV....
