Meaty, dense dark cherry, fig, fennel, lighter toasted notes, cumin, black licorice, and burnt orange peel. Despite the initial weight on the nose, a good deal more balanced on the palate with a lot of weight and tannic grip to it. Starting to show well now, but could easily age for a while longer....
