These are a couple of fine sparkling wines from the Penedès region of Catalunya with one being a surprise and the other, not. First, the non-surprise which is the Gran Torelló from Torelló within the Corpinnat association. This has long-been an extremely consistent sparkling wine, made with the classic blend of Xarel·lo, Macabeu, and Parellada.
