This is an interesting wine from Can Feliu that comes by way of DO Pla i Llevant on the island of Mallorca. It sees 13 months of aging, but what’s quite interesting is that it’s comprised of 30% and 70% Callet, a rather unknown native grape to the region that is wonderful in what it offers.
The wine has a very different body to it with a great deal of exotic spice like saffron and hints of anise. Despite the rather exotic way that it tosses itself around, the wine is very well balanced, easy to drink, and could be well suits for a number of dishes. A winner when you want to try something different but not have something that will fight with your meal. 18€
