Checking in with Mas Alta, Priorat

It’s been nearly a quarter century since Mas Alta was founded in 1999 in the small village of la Vilella Alta of DOQ Priorat, but it’s covered a lot of ground during all those years. It was three Belgian families that established the winery which included Michel and Christine Vanhoutte as well as Philippe Lambrecht, the director of Belgian wine importer, Wijnhandel De Brabandere.
